School Story:

Enjoyed Latin with Kays, Choir with Flood, Math with Keihls, Linda?, Magnus, Physics with Campbell!, (we had so many great teachers!) the calculus clowns intramural ball team. Singing in barbershop group. Singing in the choir- having a crush on Vicki Clark (a beautiful person and poet from class of 1973. Sending anonymous carnations to gals under "ACS" signature from 1973-1975. Attending pep rallys in the courtyard. Seeing Cool hand Luke in auditorium. Attending school plays. Making All state choir and choir and Latin trips. Conversations on the long bus rides to/from school from hill country village. (Seeing Gretchen Greer (class of 74) share with bus driver her faith my junior year. Tragic loss of swimmers in junior year on that road. Remembering Cindy Cason (a model quiet student) getting called out for talking in junior English clas ( she was trying to share about her Christian faith.. the end times). Conversations with Mr Campbell in 6th period... physics and calculus homework.Going to the board in calculus class and correctly answering hw problem questions that Sherri Roberson (head chearleader) had asked ... I had gotten the math bug in physics and went from mediocre math student to A student my senior year. chemistry class experiments in sophomore year (resulting in my partner and mine (Bill ?, 74), "innovative lab" shooting a flaming black testube stopper across the room proving the gas from candle wax is what burns- after the week before (first week in lab) exploding the long glass thermometer trying stupidly to measure the candle flame temperature. Coming up with a word my freshman year with Ernest Drott to describe the phenomena of the awkward back and forth when trying to pass someone in the hall and you both go the same way- the verb to Drott or the act of Drotting. (We were so silly then.. could turn anything into humor.
